Truly outstanding service supporting a very strong product

I contacted simsdirect approximately 48 hours prior to my departure for North America to ask whether it was possible to get this product in time. The communication with Mac prompt, helpful and proactive and I had my SIM card the next day. Landing in LA, the sim worked right away and it roamed effortlessly across a number of provinces within Canada plus a few trips across the border to the US. Speed was consistently 4G and coverage excellent. Could not praise this product and experience highly enough.

SimDirect has the right solution in travelling to USA The card is easy to set up and we have no problem in the country except when we went on the cruise to Alaska which we can’t use . But SimsDirect has already told us in advance that we can’t use it in Alaska . Other than that it was just plain sailing

Great to be connected to friends and family

Took a while for mine to start working dues to my phone but eventually worked it out somehow to find a network. It worked great for me to contact friends in the USA and to Australia. No problem with the internet helped me get around the USA.

How do I activate?

Step 1 Land in USA or Canada

Step 2 Insert SIM card

Step 3 Turn on 'Data Roaming' in your mobile/network settings.

Step 4 Restart your device

You should connect within 5 minutes and you are all set. Happy travels!

What if I need help?

Our SIMs generally have no issues, however, nothing is a guarantee. Sometimes SIMs have technical issues that need troubleshooting.


If you land and your SIM does not work as expected then you need to follow these steps:


Step 1. Ensure you have followed all steps in your SIMs digital PDF guide.


Step 2. Reach out to us for support via Facebook live chat or email us at hello@simsdirect.com.au. We are active between 10am - 6pm AEDT.


Step 3. If our technical support cannot resolve your issue you will be entitled to our Money Back Guarantee and we will help you find a local option for the rest of your trip.

 

 

How can I make calls & texts?

This SIM does not come with calls or texts. However, you can use your data to make calls and texts.


We highly recommend using data applications as a smart alternative.


If you are wanting to call internationally:


We recommend using Skype. You can purchase credit and use it to make international calls to any number in the world at very affordable rates that are much cheaper than international call rates. $10 will get you roughly 250 minutes worth of international calls.


It's just like using your mobile but it uses internet data to make the call. Very handy! Works for landlines and mobile numbers.


If you are wanting to call and text mobile numbers internationally for free.


We recommend using any of the following free apps.


Whatsapp

Facebook Messenger

Google Hangouts

Viber

Skype


All of these apps are handy to use while travelling.

How do I check my balance?

There is no way to check your balance with this SIM card. However, you can monitor your usage with your mobile device. Instructions on how to do this are included in your PDF SIM guide.

No recharges?

This SIM is not rechargeable as it is a one-time use product.


If you need more data or a longer duration you will need to purchase multiple SIM cards and swap them out as you go.

How do I find my new number?

You can find your mobile number when the SIM is inserted & active by going to your contacts and finding: My Number.

Is this enough data for me?

3GB of data over 30 days is suitable for web browsing, google maps, emails and data messaging.


If you are planning on streaming videos, downloading large files or using social media then you may want to grab a second SIM card for more data.
