Great sim, just a bit pricey (but nothing compared to normal mobile sim plans!)

The sim worked perfectly while we were overseas. Had a bit of a hiccup before leaving though because we ordered the sim a few days before our trip and it didn’t arrive on time (even though we confirmed with SimsDirect that it was meant to). However, SimsDirect were great and offered for us to pick up the Sim in person from their office. Overall good experience. While it isn’t cheap, it was worth for us to have peace of mind knowing that we were sorted for data!

Fine, Thank You.

Overall it was fine. Sometimes it wouldn’t work when I was uploading stuff to Instagram or Facebook so I had to wait to use the hotel Wifi. I also kept receiving weird text messages in a different language which was a tad annoying.

Awesome Simcard

So We landed in Hawaii and I put my SIM in and it worked after restarting my phone. It worked so well. And any questions I had they were quick to respond. It was nice to know I had data 24/7. Good speeds and solid range

Great experience using the sim. Easiest install and set up ever. Solid coverage and speeds in Hawaii and Vancouver. Made travelling so much easier. Insert and go!

How do I activate?

Step 1 Land in one of the countries listed

Step 2 Insert SIM card

Step 3 Turn on 'Data Roaming' in your mobile/network settings.

Step 4 Restart your device

You should connect within 5 minutes and you are all set. Happy travels!

What if I need help?

Our SIMs generally have no issues, however, nothing is a guarantee. Sometimes SIMs have technical issues that need troubleshooting.


If you land and your SIM does not work as expected then you need to follow these steps:


Step 1. Ensure you have followed all steps in your SIMs digital PDF guide.


Step 2. Reach out to us for support via Facebook live chat or email us at hello@simsdirect.com.au. We are active between 10am - 6pm AEDT.


Step 3. If our technical support cannot resolve your issue you will be entitled to our Money Back Guarantee and we will help you find a local option for the rest of your trip.

 

 

How can I make calls & texts?

This SIM does not come with calls or texts. However, you can use your data to make calls and texts.


We highly recommend using data applications as a smart alternative.


If you are wanting to call internationally:


We recommend using Skype. You can purchase credit and use it to make international calls to any number in the world at very affordable rates that are much cheaper than international call rates. $10 will get you roughly 250 minutes worth of international calls.


It's just like using your mobile but it uses internet data to make the call. Very handy! Works for landlines and mobile numbers.


If you are wanting to call and text mobile numbers internationally for free.


We recommend using any of the following free apps.


Whatsapp

Facebook Messenger

Google Hangouts

Viber

Skype


All of these apps are handy to use while travelling.

How do I check my balance?

There is no way to check your balance with this SIM card. However, you can monitor your usage with your mobile device. Instructions on how to do this are included in your PDF SIM guide.

No recharges?

This SIM is not rechargeable as it is a one-time use product.


If you need more data or a longer duration you will need to purchase multiple SIM cards and swap them out as you go.

How do I find my new number?

You can find your mobile number when the SIM is inserted & active by going to your contacts and finding: My Number.

Is this enough data for me?

4GB of data over 15 days is suitable for web browsing, google maps, emails, social media and data messaging.


If you are planning on streaming videos or downloading large files then you may want to grab a second SIM card for more data.
