We bought e-sims and sim cards to suit the phones in our family group for a trip to NZ. The sim cards worked but there was a delay with them becoming fully functional and this caused a hassle at the airport when we arrived in the evening and needed to contact our car rental company. The e-sims were hard to set up and one of us had trouble with their iPhone when we reverted back to the Australian sim after coming home. Issues with settings.
