If you land and your SIM does not work as expected then you need to follow these steps:

If you want to call or text home you have unlimited minutes and texts available to use in 30 days.

It was quite convenient to use. The SIM card took a bit longer to arrive before we left, but all good. Reception on the 2degrees network in NZ was a bit patchy in the South Island, but I think that's just NZ for you.
